The Texas ASLA Conference Speaker Committee is seeking session proposals for speaker and field sessions for the 2020 Texas ASLA Annual Conference to be held on April 7-9, 2020 in San Antonio, TX. For over twenty years, the Texas ASLA Conference has been the annual statewide event that provides approved CEPHs for landscape architects.
The conference committee has selected CATALYST for the theme of 2020 Texas ASLA Conference. The definition of catalyst is: “a substance that increases the rate of chemical reaction or, a person or thing that precipitates change”. The aspiration of the conference is to inspire transformative action and energize attendees with stimulating topics focusing on water conservation. Much like the San Antonio Water Systems and the San Antonio River Authority are leading the state in water conservation efforts, our conference logo, graphics and overall message are intended to refocus our attention on water conservation. Submissions that demonstrate various water conservation techniques through design methods and potentially new or innovative products will be considered.
The Texas ASLA Conference Planning Committee is offering ASLA members and other professionals the opportunity to submit a written proposal for an oral presentation with graphics and field sessions. Presenters are encouraged to provide an engaging and dynamic session with emphasis on Heath Safety and Welfare lasting at least 50 minutes included question and answer.
