The American Translators Association is now accepting presentation proposals for the ATA 59th Annual Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, October 24-27, 2018.

The ATA Annual Conference is an essential professional development event specific to the needs of translators and interpreters. Over 150 educational sessions are offered, featuring a variety of languages and specializations.

Speakers come from all over the world and volunteer to share their experience and expertise with all attendees. They are working translators and interpreters, many of whom are also educators, attorneys, physicians, CEOs, and managers.

Speaking at the ATA Annual Conference is a challenging and rewarding opportunity. All proposals are selected through a competitive peer-review process. If your proposal is selected, you may take advantage of the following benefits:

Increased Recognition
• By contributing to the advancement of your profession, you will build your reputation and résumé, widen your networking circle, gain recognition as a leader in the industry, and position yourself as a key player to help shape the future of your profession.
• Your name will be featured in the Preliminary Program, sent to over 11,000 people, and in the Final Program that is provided to each conference attendee. Your biography will also appear on the Conference Website and the Conference App.
• The paper of your presentation may be published in the Proceedings of the ATA Annual Conference.
• You will receive a Speaker ribbon with your attendee badge so that you will be recognized throughout the event.

Reduced Conference Registration
• The Primary Contact* of each presentation receives a discount of $100 off the 3-Day Registration rate (not applicable for Saturday-Only and ATA Student rates).
*For each presentation, ATA designates the Primary Contact who is responsible for coordinating his/her presentation. Any additional speakers involved must register at the regular rate if they wish to attend sessions and events.
