The Chickasaw Nation Arts & Humanities Division presents the annual Dynamic Woman of the Chickasaw Nation Conference. The conference recognizes the strength and leadership of Chickasaw women from all walks of life and salutes the valuable contributions, talents and skills of Chickasaw women. The two-day conference features powerful speakers, breakout sessions and networking opportunities. The current Dynamic Woman of the Chickasaw Nation is the keynote speaker at the luncheon. The conference is composed of distinguished Chickasaw women as the panelists. During the conference, the audience is encouraged to ask questions of the panelists. In conjunction with the conference, artworks showcasing the Art of the Chickasaw Woman will be exhibited at the ARTesian Gallery. The conference is open to the public.

This conference is a platform to showcase and recognize the dynamic and truly remarkable women of the Chickasaw
Nation. The conference is full of wonderful presentations, breakout sessions, and audience driven forums for all to enjoy.
The 2017 conference will be a full two-day event, giving us the opportunity to offer more sessions and networking opportunities. For the 2017 conference, we invite you to submit a presentation proposal. Your proposal may be a single presentation for the general session or for one of the breakout sessions.

Who can present?

  • Presenters over the age of 25, preferably Chickasaw women; but also open to men, other Native American tribes or non-natives.
  • Presenters must have a minimum of four years’ experience in their professional field or area of expertise.
  • Presentations should be related to Native American issues.

General information:

  • Conference sessions are for general audiences. Please keep all presentations family friendly and appropriate for all ages.
  • Breakout sessions can be informational, discussion or audience interactive presentations.
  • Travel and lodging for the conference will be provided and/or reimbursed depending on distance, mode of transportation, etc.
